Authenticity & Emotion
MHI came to us with beautiful visual assets — they had hundreds of high-res photos and videos of their students, teachers, and community members. These powerful images add so much authenticity and emotion to the design.
Setting an Inspirational Tone
Our design team knew those images would be valuable in creating an engaging and evocative site and immediately put their video clips to good use by creating a looping hero banner made up of footage of their students. Our copy team crafted the hero message, “Strength Through Music,” setting the inspirational tone for the rest of the site.
Highlighting Their Impact
A main hurdle for MHI is illustrating why music is so important in the communities they serve. Over the years, MHI has been collecting the data and impact of their programs, and their research and reports prove the overwhelming positive effect that structured music lessons have on their students.
How Music Heals
Our design team mixed imagery and engaging design to create graphs, charts, and grids of information that are animated and digestible, helping solidify MHI’s message. Their extensive research helps create credibility and trust among their supporter base.
Mapping their Work
This interactive map only has one location so far, but it leaves room for MHI to continue to expand their mission and add more pins to the map. Each location pin can expand when clicked to give more information about the working being done in that area.
Follow Their Journey
We had fun creating the blog feed, which is designed to look like a timeline. Each point on the timeline links to a blog post, creating an interactive journey through MHI’s key events and accomplishments.
Hopsie Online Fundraising
A sticky navigation bar, featuring a prominent donate button, takes users where they need to go, including the Hopsie fundraising page. A Hopsie fundraising widget on the “Get Involved” page allows for another easy way to give.
